HEALING IS WITHIN REACH

Hi, I'm Sara!
Therapist • Latina • Real Human • she/her/ella
Welcome to Intuition Therapy AZ, I'm so glad you're here. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist for Individuals, but beyond the titles—I'm also a wife, daughter, and sister trying to figure out how to best navigate the complexities of life alongside with you.
Over the past 7 years, I’ve worked with teens, young adults, professionals & students, and our elderly folk in higher education, medical settings, and mental health spaces. I've supported people dealing with stress, anxiety, trauma, chronic illness, grief, major life changes, and all the in-betweens.
Special populations I’ve supported at various capacities include:
-
Academic staff and faculty
-
Medical physicians and residents
-
Individuals newly diagnosed or navigating terminal cancer and hematological conditions
-
Survivors of human trafficking
I especially love working with teens and young adults who are exploring their identity, healing from developmental and complex trauma, and learning to manage anxiety, depression, family stress, or the effects of past or current challenging relationships.
As a Spanish-speaking Latina and proud daughter & granddaughter of immigrants, I’m deeply committed to honoring each client’s cultural identity. I strive to create safe, inclusive spaces—especially for first-generation college students, individuals from mixed-immigration status households, and those from historically marginalized communities.
My therapeutic approach blends warmth and empathy with honest, direct feedback—and yes, a sprinkle of humor. I offer both in-person and telehealth services across Arizona.

APPROACHES
My approach can be described as eclectic, person-centered, and always trauma informed. I often lean on attachment, neurobiological and family systems theory to guide my work. This helps place your sense of safety and the therapeutic relationship at the forefront, ultimately allowing you to get the most out of our time together. I am a big proponent of understanding and embedding your cultural and spiritual practices into your treatment.

- Expressive Therapy
- Polyvagal Theory
WHAT IS EXPRESSIVE ARTS THERAPY?
Expressive arts therapy can be a helpful tool when words feel too heavy or too much. Various art forms such as clay, paint, music, dance, poetry, collaging, and drawing are utilized therapeutically to teach coping strategies, encourage self-discovery or as another form of expression.
I have found this beneficial in working through trauma, developing self-esteem, and grounding.
